Feast of All Heras

Event source: Basic Calendar Events
12:00 AM
Hera, queen of the gods and wife-sister of Zeus, was the goddess of marriage, and of midwives, childbirth, child-rearing, and the bedroom. The pomegranate and peacock were her symbols, and Hephaestus — the god of all arts and crafts — was her son. In myth, she is remembered as a woman often ignored, but in truth she was the only one who could persuade Zeus to act.

Today is a good day for planning gardens, for making beds, and for communicating with your spouse about future plans, especially having and educating children. Cook at home, celebrate family, and make love.
